Spring Break Days #8 and #9

 

Fishing event on Saturday.  The youngest caught a 11.75 inch fish.  

Bestill my nerdy heart.  The exact encyclopedia set we had growing up.  I did not buy them (the husband would kill me) but was tempted. There's probably no one else on earth who adores encylopedia's like me so I'm sure they will stay be on the shelf for a while if I change my mind...  

Spring Break Day #3

 

Took the 16-year-old for an eye check and new glasses.  We lead a thrilling life but at least we can see it.  I need to make my own eye appointment... 

Spring Break Day #6

 

Took the kid to the park after the 1.5 mile 'long route' walk to get there.  

Spring Break Adventures Day 4 and 5

 

Took the youngest to try out his new rocket.  

He immediately launched it into a tree.  Luckily, I'm super mom and was able to retrieve it.  

Launches 2-10 did not land in any trees. 

One of the kids insisted we needed to go visit Multnomah Falls.  This is the view from the bottom.

From the 1ish mile hike up to the top.  

Where we stopped on the hike because one of the kids refused to walk under that tree.  There are 11 switchbacks on the way up there, we made it to #2.  Maybe we'll get all the way to the top another time...  

From the "scenic viewpoint" on the way home because I was driving and I stop at those.  Not the scenic-iest viewpoint ever (and lots of big trucks parked taking up all the parking spots) but it was OK.  

A scenic viewpoint isn't complete without a little history lesson...
