My new project, soon to be a quilted table runner.  Do I know what I'm doing?  No.  Do I know how to use my sewing machine?  Also no.  Can I sew in a straight line?  Nope.  Trying anyway...

On the 3rd day of Summer Vacation...

Tomato plant with tomatoes on it already.  Usually. we don't have those until August.  This was a store bought plant, my from-seed tomatoes are not even close.

Quilts

 Every grandkid on my mom's side (all six girls) received a quilt on their 6th birthday.  This is mine.  I recently acquired my grandma's quilt photo album with tons of photos of quilts, her quilting friends, and my cousins and siblings.  Not a single photo is labeled except this one.  It says on the back I refused to smile because my sister had just pulled my hair... I thought this photo was long lost, so having a copy makes me happy.  I am definitely going to scrapbook it, and its companion which has my cousin in it (and is not labeled.)  

I have also decided to have an analog, or grandma-esque summer and will be making something small and quiltl-ish.  See next post for my idea list.
